Sci-fi thriller · 10 × 45 min · Year 2197

The making of NEXA

The world

Year 2197. Earth didn't make it.

The climate collapse left most of the planet desert. What's left of humanity split three ways: a free metropolis that still believes in a future, a corporate empire that strips asteroids with forced labour, and survivalists who trust no one.

The Free City has one project that matters — find Nexa, a second Earth. The best candidate is Vast-47: a rocky desert world 61 light-years out, wrapped in a crimson fog that kills electronics, and home to colonies of glowing organisms that shouldn't exist.

The Free City — a settlement at dawn

THE FREE CITY

Twenty million people and the last working spaceport on Earth.

Vast-47 — a figure in the crimson fog

VAST-47

A silent desert world. The fog moves. The rocks glow.

The Auster — a ship burning towards deep space

THE AUSTER

The research ship that went quiet. Finding it is step one.

The story

She flew for love. She'll come back a leader.

Rita Kaas is an astronautics student with one reason to leave Earth: Luis — commander of the Auster expedition, the man she loves, and the voice that stopped answering. She talks her way onto a flight to Vast-47 with Dylan, a pilot who flies for money, and Avo, an android with opinions.

On the surface they find the camp empty, the crew scattered, and something in the planet's air that changed them. Ten episodes take Rita from stowaway to the head of humanity's search for a new home — and to the edge of what she'll trade to get there.

RITA

A student who stops asking permission.

DYLAN

A smuggler who finds a cause at the worst possible price.

AVO

An android that started life as a vacuum cleaner. The heart of the ship.
